Improving Client Trading Networks with A10 Networks
A10 Networks recently announced new low latency solutions designed to improve client electronic trading systems. A10 Networks low latency solutions address problems in client connection networks typically found in dark pools, prime brokerage, retail brokerage and other client application networks. Trading firms need to stay connected to their trading clients with the lowest possible latency, but since these connections typically traverse extranets, the Internet or other peering arrangements these connections generally require NAT, BGP peering, basic network security and stateful multi-site redundancy. The payloads are typically FIX messages or similar financial protocols. At heart, A10 Networks is an Application Delivery Controller or ADC. An ADC is a 'full-stack' router in that it can make traffic routing decisions based on any data within application payload.
